Why Cooka.ch was created
The idea for Cooka came from a simple frustration: When hunger strikes, we always reach for the same delivery pizza or dry sandwich from the bakery out of convenience. At the same time, a few doors down, passionate amateur chefs are cooking the most incredible, freshest family recipes - and no one knows about them.
We built Cooka.ch to tear down exactly this invisible wall. We want to replace impersonal food assembly lines with real human connections. Cooka is the digital bridge between passionate chefs and a hungry neighborhood craving honest food.
Multicultural cuisine instead of midday lows
Let's be honest: the classic lunch menu is often monotonous, optimized in terms of system gastronomy and softened to the lowest common denominator.
Switzerland, on the other hand, is a wonderful melting pot of cultures! At Cooka we radically celebrate this diversity. We want the real Thai Tom Yum from next door, the original Colombian arepas or the spicy Sri Lankan curry that you can't find in any mainstream restaurant. A classic restaurant has to be economical, pay rent and appeal to the general public. This often forces compromises. Cooka providers, on the other hand, usually cook out of pure passion and in small, limited portions. This is exactly what makes radical specialization possible:
